Chantilly, VA - January 01, 2010: Nova Datacom, LLC, a provider of information assurance and security services to the public and private sectors, announced today that Scott Morris has been appointed Chief Technologist. He will be responsible for driving new technology research and solution development to support and expand NDC’s current COOP/DR and security offerings. Most recently, Morris has been concentrating on concept testing how to leverage Remote Data Warehousing for Disaster Recovery and COOP solutions. Prior to joining Nova Datacom, Morris acted as a CCIE instructor where he both developed Cisco training programs and managed the development and training of other instructors.
As one of only a handful of people in the world to have four Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications and a Juniper Networks Certified Internetwork Expert (JNCIE-M) certification, Mr. Morris is a highly trained and uniquely qualified engineer with expertise that spans the gamut of cutting-edge networking technologies. In addition to being fluent with both Cisco and Juniper solutions, Mr. Morris holds a myriad of other certifications spanning networking, telephony and security technologies.

Mr. Morris has developed his passion for computer and networking systems from his childhood after getting one of the first IBM PC-AT computer systems (80286/6MHz!). He attended Marquette University studying Journalism and Photojournalism with minor studies in Political Science and Philosophy. Throughout this time, and continuing after college, Mr. Morris always strove to master "new and exciting" technologies.
Being completely self-taught on computer systems and networking systems, he has come a long way- from working on single computer systems to helping train some of the world's best engineers! His expert-level certifications span Routing & Switching, ISP/Dial, and Security and Service Provider tracks.
Mr. Morris currently resides in Lexington, KY with his wife Carrie, and two daughters.
